This campaign has been launched by a friend of Scott Kelly and his wife, Sarah. The Neurosis leader’s better half has been stricken by an unidentified illness that has taken her sight and her ability to walk.
According to the campaign, “Sarah woke up on March 24th unable to walk or see. She was immediately admitted to Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon.”
As of yesterday, her doctors were still baffled by what could be wrong. While Sarah’s regained some of her sight, she still cannot walk, and those medical bills are now mounting.
It’s shit like this that makes me wanna move to Canada or the United Kingdom, where people aren’t bankrupted by medical bills when tragedy strikes.
“While most people know Scott from his work with his bands (Neurosis, Tribes of Neurot, Corrections House, etc…), his most cherished role is that of a father and husband,” the campaign says. “As he stays close to Sarah at this time, medical bills and every day living costs are building. I’m asking you to help where you can, spread the word of this fundraiser and please keep Sarah in your thoughts.”
Honestly, this is just a blog. It doesn’t have children. If it fades away, readers will recover quickly. But Scott’s kids will never be the same without their mom.

Thus far, nearly $10,000 of the campaign’s $50,000 goal has been reached.
